Flower Recipe: Early April Garden Bouquet
Spring holds a special place in our hearts. Maren and I both have January birthdays, so it feels like a second celebration when the garden wakes up and we can pick ourselves bouquets. We had great anticipation for this particular spring as we had planted the Cheerfulness, Gay Tabor, and Obdam narcissus bulbs together last fall. We loved seeing them bloom for the very first time this year. The other narcissus were here when we moved in—one of the best things about our gardens is that they are full of spring treasures!
For this bouquet, we played up the beauty of spring with soft whispers of color. Layers and layers of petals are cushioned by hints of greenery—all from the flowers themselves. We sourced the hellebore from our friends the Green family at Spanish Street Farmacy and the Angelique tulips and prize anemone were grown by our friend Allison of Bub’s Bees and Blooms. We love the simplicity of the ingredients—each flower truly shines!
