2024 Paperwhite Collection Preview

Hi friends!

First of all, thank you for being here. It’s crazy to think we have been offering the Southeast Missouri area paperwhites for the holidays since 2018. In the beginning, I offered a single bulb in a forcing vase, which allowed the roots to grow in water alone. I still love having a few of these dot our home, especially on our windowsills. The roots have a beauty all their own! But over the years, we began to specialize in unique vintage vessels I source from our favorite shops. I’m always delighted by your enthusiasm for these blooming centerpieces we craft…a favorite tradition to celebrate the joy of fresh flowers during the winter months.

Since December is right around the corner, here we are, sharing our preview of this year’s paperwhite collection. These will be available for pick-up next week Monday, November 25th through Wednesday, November 27th, for anyone wishing to gift these for any upcoming dinner parties.

On December 3rd, all remaining centerpieces will be for sale at Red Banner Coffee Roasters starting at 9:00am. Every centerpiece will be available for purchase there until Saturday, December 21st (or until they sell out).

All of our vessels are vintage and hand-picked by me, Dana. Truth be told, I only source vessels that I would be happy to receive—needless to say, I’m pretty picky. A few of our vessels have repairs, small chips and other little imperfections. We appreciate the philosophy of wabi-sabi and enjoy giving these old containers a fresh purpose. We hope you find one you love this year!!

Please note that paperwhite bulbs, flowers and foliage are toxic to humans and animals. We ask that you keep your centerpiece out of reach of curious pets and children.

We will accept payment by card on-site at Red Banner throughout the holiday season. Please show proof of purchase to Katie or Robbie Britt before taking your paperwhite centerpiece out the door.

Once you have your paperwhite centerpiece, we recommend placing it in the sunniest spot in your home for growth. Since we have potted our bulbs a little differently this year, we recommend being conservative with your watering as the soil will hold moisture close to the bulbs and excessive water will result in bulb and root rot. The best part is, after these paperwhite bulbs are done flowering, you can repot them and save them for next year!
